MY APPROACH TO CAPTURING LOVE

I want you to feel as if you are hanging out and laughing with a friend, I give gentle guidance and prompts while taking some time to chat with you to ensure that I am capturing your authentic love.

I am here to help you feel comfortable in front of my camera.

At the end of the day we are really just creating a moment that you and those after you will get to look back on for eternity, that is the real magic of photography - it is an investment that truly lasts through lifetimes.

Wedding Q+A

What is your photography style?

My photography style is a fusion of documentary storytelling and editorial elegance, where every image feels like a chapter in a love story. I capture the quiet moments, the fleeting glances, and the unspoken connections that make your day uniquely yours.

I create timeless images that are rich in texture and emotion, evoking a sense of nostalgia while staying grounded in the present. Each photograph is carefully crafted to reflect the beauty, depth, and authenticity of your love, preserving memories in a way that feels both intimate and cinematic.

Why do I need to book a call with you before booking my wedding?

Your wedding day is a deeply personal celebration, and finding the right photographer is about more than just style—it’s about connection. Our call is a chance for us to align our visions and values, ensuring that I can capture the essence of your love in a way that feels true to you both. It’s an opportunity for you to share your dreams, ask questions, and feel assured that we’re the perfect match to tell your story. I want to ensure that your memories are preserved authentically, and a conversation is the best way to begin that journey together.

Do you travel outside of St. John's?

Yes, absolutely—I travel all across Newfoundland to document love. I offer specific travel rates for popular Newfoundland destinations, which include round-trip kilometers and two nights’ accommodation when needed. These travel details are outlined in my wedding pricing guide, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Can I trade the complimentary engagement session in my wedding package for something else?

The engagement session is a key part of the package, and I offer it to help us build a connection before your wedding day. It’s a great opportunity for us to get to know each other, work together in front of the camera, and ensure you feel comfortable and confident on the big day. Because of its importance in the overall experience, it’s not available for substitution. I highly recommend taking advantage of it, as it truly helps create a more relaxed and enjoyable wedding day experience.

What if there is bad weather on our wedding day?

We embrace it—rain or shine.

Some of the most heartfelt, cinematic moments unfold when the weather surprises us. Think wind-swept hair, soft rain on skin; this is what makes your story truly yours.

When will we receive our wedding photos?

You can expect your full wedding gallery within 8 weeks of your wedding day. I know how exciting it is to relive those moments, and I promise it’s worth the wait. During this time, I’m carefully curating your story—reviewing thousands of frames, selecting the most meaningful ones, and hand-editing each image with intention.

How many photos will we receive?

I don’t believe in limiting the number of memories you receive. While I guarantee a minimum of 50 images per hour of coverage, I deliver every frame that feels meaningful—each photograph a thread in the story of your day. Your gallery will be a collection of lovingly curated honest moments.

What is the difference between The Story Session and The Poem Session?

The Poem Session is a delicate hour, capturing one location, one moment in time.

The Story Session unfolds over two hours, with multiple chapters, outfit changes, and a deeper connection to the narrative of your love.

What if there is bad weather?

We embrace it—rain or shine. We all know Newfoundland weather is wild, we may as well make the most of it.

If it is calling for downpours (and you aren't into dancing in the rain) or dangerous weather, I will make the call of rescheduling.

When will we receive our photos?

You can expect your gallery within 3 weeks of our session date. During this time, I’m carefully curating your story—reviewing all of the frames, selecting the most meaningful ones, and hand-editing each image with intention.
