a surprise proposal
Portugal Cove, Newfoundland
Proposal day came around, it was the rainiest day St. John’s had seen this past fall. I’m talking BUCKETS. All day long.
Faith decided she wanted to go ahead, even if it meant letting go of the perfect sunset she had been dreaming of for the proposal. So out in my rain gear I went, as I drove the rain was getting heavier by the minute and it was getting DARK. As I pulled up to our location, it was so stormy.
In a lovely turn of events - as I waited for Faith and Hanna to arrive, the rain let up entirely. Halfway through our session Faith went to grab the engagement ring and do a little outfit change. I did some solo portraits of Hanna at this time and the sky started opening up. Faith returned and the sky LIT up, it was on fire - like nothing I have ever seen before. As they had their moment, the world was glowing and as that moment went on the sky started to fade back to normal. We were about to clue up our session and we turned around to see the most beautiful rainbow in the sky.
Going with the flow is so beautiful, you never know what may come of it.
